Welcome to the IFAS-website!
Founded in 2019, the Institute for Applied Social Sciences (IFAS) functions as an interdisciplinary research institute of the Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt and is attached to the Faculty of Applied Social Sciences. Currently 18 professors and 18 research assistants from various fields (e.g. social work, social studies, psychology, jurisprudence, music therapy, health science, health economics) with different research focuses are contributing to the IFAS. Combining these diverse competences enables outstanding interdisciplinary research focussing on the four centres: Health, Social Work Sciences, International Social Work and Digital Transformation. The individual research areas are represented in the centre structure. The institute provides the platform for collaboration and networking across centres and thus across disciplines. Interdisciplinary thinking and research are the main characteristics and one of the outstanding strengths of the IFAS.

Call for Papers der Zeitschrift „Recht & Psychiatrie“ (IF 0,4) zum Thema „Schnittstellen, Übergänge und ambulante Versorgung“
Für ein Schwerpunktheft der Zeitschrift „Recht & Psychiatrie“ (IF 0,4) können Paper-Beiträge zum Thema „Schnittstellen, Übergänge und ambulante Versorgung“ eingereicht werden. In dem Schwerpunktheft sollen aus rechtlicher und empirischer Perspektive die im Strafvollzug, der Forensik und der allgemeinpsychiatrischen Versorgung stattgefundenen Entwicklungen in der Entlassung aus freiheitsentziehenden (stationären) Maßnahmen und der Übergang in nicht-freiheitsentziehende (ambulante) Folgemaßnahmen (kritisch) beleuchtet werden.
