Student mobilities

In order to promote the internationalisation of young academics and to strengthen the collaboration between the partner universities, several exchange and thesis mobilities were implemented by LOSWAC.

In 2019, there were three exchange students – one student each from the Lebanese University, the Yarmouk University, and the German Jordanian University – participating in the THWS master's programme "International Social Work with Refugees and Migrants" from October until February.

In 2020, there were two exchange students who also participated in this master's programme, one from the Lebanese University and one from the German Jordanian University. Unfortunately it was impossible for the Lebanese student to travel to Germany because of the Covid 19 situation. Therefore, she was our first digital exchange student.

Furthermore, five thesis students went abroad for one month to conduct their research in one of the partner countries. They received access to libraries and additionally had the possibility to meet experts on-site and apply research methods that were prepared in advance.
