University of Jyväskylä

In 1863, the development of the University of Jyväskylä (JYU) started with the foundation of a college for Finnish Teachers. Since then, the JYU has continued this tradition, focusing on the intersection between research, education, and society. As one of the global top three percent universities, the JYU aims to be a global leader in the study of learning, wellbeing, and basic natural phenomena, reshaping competence to build a sustainable society. Our cooperation partner at JYU is part of the "Music, Art and Culture Studies" department and is leading in researching and developing improvisational methods in music therapy.
