“Being part of the Creative Arts for Sustainable Futures seminar was a transformative experience. Each activity — from African mindful dancing to the Dragon Dreaming project planning and the workshops in Blumenthal Castle — helped me to connect theory with practice in a unique way. What stood out most was the spirit of co-creation and community; I felt inspired not only by the content but also by the collaboration with peers from different countries and cultures. The seminar gave me tools, insights, and a deeper sense of responsibility to carry sustainable ideas into my future projects.”

“The experience was truly enriching, it made me feel seen and heard. I was learning, unlearning, and relearning many things I thought I knew but needed to be reminded of. Especially the profound importance of treating myself with the same care and kindness I offer to my loved ones. I was taught to appreciate every moment, to be present, and to approach challenges and opportunities with an open heart and mind.”

"This course was something entirely new, something truly fascinating. It touched my heart and sparked something within me. It gave me the human connection I had been longing for. The chance to feel emotions deeply, to sit with my thoughts, and to channel them into something creative. It gave us strength, a space to explore. I connected with people so quickly and felt grateful to be accepted. We shared our deepest emotions and our dreams, dreams not limited by present circumstances.

This is the kind of course we need in universities: one that inspires young people to discover their own path in life. I never imagined I could experience something like this at THWS, and I feel extremely lucky that I did. I would recommend this course wholeheartedly, but I would tell future participants just one thing: come with an open heart, that is all you need."

“One of the most meaningful experiences of my life, it taught me so much. I discovered the importance of connecting with ourselves and practicing mindfulness. Pinakarri was the highlight, allowing us to connect deeply with our souls and fully feel every part of our bodies.

My deepest gratitude goes to Dr. Hannah, whose unwavering support made every moment flow effortlessly. I feel truly honored to have met her. I am also grateful to have met everyone there; they were incredibly kind and supportive.”

Thank you all so much!

“The Creative Arts for Sustainable Futures seminar was a truly meaningful and eye-opening experience. It gave me the chance to explore how creativity can be directly connected to sustainability in practical ways. Through activities such as African mindful dancing, Dragon Dreaming project planning, and collaborative workshops in Blumenthal Castle, I learned how ideas can be transformed into action. Working closely with peers from different countries and cultural backgrounds also helped me to understand the importance of diversity, teamwork, and co-creation in addressing global challenges. What made this seminar even more special was the personal transformation it inspired. I loved this project because of the radical change it brought into my perspective and daily habits. It taught me to let go of judgment and criticism, to wake up earlier, and to practice relaxation by closing my eyes and clearing my mind. These small but powerful changes added to the sense of belonging that grew among us during the seminar. The community we built was truly unique, as we shared experiences and created connections across cultures. I am deeply grateful for this journey, the tools and insights I gained, and the wonderful people I met. This seminar has strengthened my commitment to carry sustainable and creative ideas into my future projects and my everyday life.” - Sara Boukarroum

“Participating in this seminar was a truly enriching experience for me. I not only gained valuable knowledge, but also developed a deeper understanding of how creativity, dialogue, and collaboration can contribute to building more inclusive and peaceful communities. The interactive sessions encouraged me to reflect on my own perspectives and experiences, while also learning from others. What stood out most to me was the balance between theory and practice – the seminar didn’t just present ideas, but allowed us to apply them in meaningful ways. I left the seminar feeling inspired, more confident in my skills, and motivated to carry these insights into both my academic work and everyday life.

I am very grateful for the opportunity to be part of this project, and I believe it has had a lasting impact on my personal growth and outlook.”

“One of the most amazing experiences of my life, it gave me the chance to discover new cultures and to learn in a fresh environment surrounded by different and wonderful people. I learned how important it is to listen to my own wellbeing and mental health, and to understand that my perspective is not the absolute truth. This helped me realize that I should never judge others based on my own ideas or thoughts.

My deepest gratitude goes to everyone who made this journey possible and meaningful. I feel truly grateful for the support, kindness, and encouragement I received throughout.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.” - Rebecca Chaaya
