Project Goals

With its measures, this project aims to achieve the following goals:

• Competence development and professionalization of international social work with focus on crisis contexts

• Development of competencies of students and the academic mid-level staff through intercultural and professional exchange

• Development of teaching formats for the training of social workers, that enable interactivity, participation and participation as well as personal exchange even in online/ blended-learning formats

• Documenting experiences of social work in crises and conflicts using the example of social work in Lebanon

• Sustainable networking and cooperation between the involved universities, in order to establish long-term structures for teaching and research cooperation between Germany, Lebanon and Jordan.

Thus, the project intends to contribute to the transformation of higher education structures towards more participatory, internationally connected curricula integrating personal development and empowerment as core competencies in higher education.
